"My Son is Truly Happy..."

"It was a tough challenge to accept the autism diagnosis in my 3-year-old son, but at the same time, both he and I were blessed to meet the Legacy team. They have been true angels who came into my life to support me in this daunting task of guiding my son. We've been in sessions for almost 2 years now, and seeing him there fills me with joy. He is truly happy, has made great strides, and his progress in speech is incredible. I wish Legacy SPS all the success and I am infinitely grateful from the bottom of my heart."

Our Approach

"Floortime®" is the opportunity to interact with children in an environment where they prosper and feel comfortable being themselves.

As the name implies, "Floortime®" occurs when a therapist sits on the floor with the child and caregiver to observe, play, and learn. Adopted from Dr. Stanley Greenspan's renowned "Greenspan Floortime®" approach, the aim of this activity is to challenge children to develop their skills beyond their initial diagnosis. Through this method, our qualified therapist interacts with the child to identify his or her strengths and abilities in a space that they feel comfortable being themselves.

At Legacy, our family-centered approach encourages caregivers to join in and participate in the activity; this helps create a warm and supportive environment that not only encourages the child, but also allows those teachings to be applied by the caregiver at home. In working hand-in-hand with the caregiver, the therapist is able to identify the child's unique abilities, and subsequently, provide the appropriate services for the child to best develop forward intellectually and emotionally.

"Floortime®" is fundamentally transformed into an exciting family adventure to explore the children's ideas. Learn more here
