Additional Conditions We Treat

Feeding Disorders

At Legacy, we focus on providing comprehensive and specialized support to individuals struggling with feeding disorders.

When treating feeding disorders, we facilitate the development of coordinated movements of the mouth, the respiratory tract, and the phonatory system involved in the feeding process. The general well-being of children is our priority, as well as developing a successful sensorimotor and oral swallowing treatment plan.

During our therapy sessions, we assess the child's oral-motor function, positioning, muscle tone, sensory development, and more to find treatment opportunities that support the relationship between the child, eating, and food.

Medical, surgical, and nutritional considerations are equally important in treatment plans. By assessing feeding disorders holistically, it is possible to support the child into achieving a coordinated and pleasant feeding and swallowing experience.

Lives We've Touched

350

We have estimated to have cared for 75 children at our Texas practices just this year. â€‹â€‹In Katy we serve over 70 families as we continue expanding our reach.

We  have made significant contributions by providing free therapy to some uninsured families with the aim that children have access to quality care.

100%

We've experienced 100% satisfaction from the kids and families we've seen. Our clinic's therapists have demonstrated the effectiveness of incorporating elements of the Floortime methodology to address the individual needs of children, resulting in significant benefits.
